The London Mathematical Society has a major commitment to mathematics education, and offers the following grants schemes:
Small Grants for Education
Grants of up to £800 are available to fund activities that stimulate interest and enable involvement in mathematics from Key Stage 1 (age 5+) to Undergraduate level and beyond, by:
- enhancing and enriching mathematical study beyond the curriculum;
- engaging the public with mathematics;
- encouraging unusual ways of communicating mathematics.
Mathematics Education Conference Grants
This grant offers up to £2,000 to organisers of regular mathematics education conferences and is intended to contribute to the travel/subsistence expenses of attendees of the event in question. Note: only one grant may be awarded per conference.

Grants for Teaching and Learning in HE - update July 2024: The Grants for Teaching and Learning in HE scheme will not be running in the 2024/25 financial year. Applicants are encouraged to submit instead to the IMA/LMS/RSS 'Teaching and Learning Workshop Series', which will open later in 2024. See of workshops funded through this scheme in 2024.
